Thinking about turning the Mosque “Masjid” upside down. Literally! Submerging it into the ground, means that all walls are protected from the harsh sun in the summer, by that, we will increase the efficiency of the A/C, reducing electricity bills, walls will store the coolness of the air better etc.. Currently working on a proposal to find out what/how can we ‘Dubaians’ create an Identity mosque for us. I’m sure, we can surpass the existing Ottoman’s/Turkish/Indian/Iranian/Morrocon mosques, don’t get me wrong, they are beautiful building, but just a memory that we are attached to.
